Quick Details

Round steel is divided into hot rolling, forging and cold drawing. The specification of hot rolled round steel is 5.5-250 mm. Among them ,5.5-25 mm small round steel is mostly supplied in bundles of straight bars, often used as steel bars, bolts and various mechanical parts; round steel larger than 25 mm is mainly used to manufacture mechanical parts or to make seamless steel pipe billet.

The difference between round bar and rebar:

1. Appearance is different, round bar is no grain without rib, as rebar's surface appearance has engraved grain or rib, this causes round steel and concrete bond force is small, but other steel bar and concrete bond force is big.

2. Composition is different, round steel bar (first grade steel) belongs to ordinary low carbon steel, the rebars are mostly alloy steel.

3. The strength is different, round steel bar's strength is low,the rebar's strength is high, that is, round steel with the same diameter can bear less tensile force than other steel bars, but the plasticity of round steel is stronger than that of other steel bars. The deformation of other steel bars is much smaller before breaking.
